How to cook Vegetable Cutlet?

Ingredients

250 gms .Potatoes (boiled)
1 onion (chopped)
50 gms .cabbage (grated)
¼ cup peas (boiled)
2-3 green chillies(chopped)
2 tsp bread crumbs
Salt and pepper powder(to taste)
½ tsp chat masala powder
¼ tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp oil


Method

Boil potatoes and peas separately
Mix all the ingredients(except bread crumbs,oil)for the cutlets
Preheat the oven at 250 C at convection mode
Applying oil on your hands ,shape the mixture into cutlets and coat with bread crumbs.Brush with oil.
Place these cutlets on the greased non stick tawa/microwave safe flat dish at high rackand bake for 25-30 mns.till golden brown.Reposition frequently for uniform browning.
Serve hot with crisp Salad,wafers and green chutney or sauce.

How to make a Cheese Omelette? Cheese Omelette Recipe

Ingredients

2 eggs
1 onion(chopped)
2 tsp milk
1 tsp butter
1 tomato(chopped)
2 green chillies
2 tsp green coriander
2 tsp cheese
Salt and black pepper

Method

Mix egg and chopped vegetables in a bowl.Beat with a beater,till fluffy
Heat butter in a microwave safe flat dish at 100% power for 30 secs
Pour in beaten egg and vegetables salt pepper into dish and microwave at 80% power for 5-6 mins
Sprinkle grated cheese on the top and microwave at 80% power for 30 secs.to 1 minute till the cheese melts.
Serve hot with toasts and sauce/chutney.

How to Make Apple Jam? Method to make Apple Jam Recipe

Ingredients

2 apples (peeted and chopped)
0.5 cup sugar
2 tsp lemon juice

Method

Mix sugar and chopped apples in a Safe bowl on the gas.
Blend softened apple –sugar mixture in a blender
Keep the mixture in the bowl on the gas for 7-8 mins.or till its slightly thickened and translucent .stir in between to prevent scorching.
Stir in lemon juice,pour in prepared jars and refrigerate .Serve with toasted bread,cakes and cookies.

Tomato Rasam

Ingredients

4 large Tomatoes
3 tsp tamrind pulp
0.5 tsp chilli powder
0.5 tsp roasted cumin seeds
A pinch of asafoetida
Salt and black pepper
1 tsp oil
0.5 tsp mustard seeds
5-6 curry leaves
2 dry red chillies
4 cups water

Method

Wash and Chop tomatoes.with 0.5 cup water and allow to stand for 5 mns on the gas
Blend the tomatoes in the blender and strain it to form a puree
In another bowl on the gas oil it for 30 secs
Add asafetida,mustard seeds,curry leaves,dried red chilli and add it to the bowl on the gas
Sprinkle roasted cumin seeds powder before serving. Serve hot.

Aam ki Chutney Recipe

Ingredients:

• 2 cups green raw mangoes
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
• 1 tsp aniseed (saunf) crushed
• 0.5 tsp mustard seeds
• 2 whole red chilli
• 0.5 tsp rock salt
• 1 tsp oil
• A pinch of asafetida

Method

1.In a microwave safe bowl add oil and microwave at 100% power for 30 secs
2.Add red chillies ,mustard seeds,aniseed ,cumin seeds powder,black salt and asafetida.Microwave at 100% power for 2 mins.Stir in between.
3.Add chopped raw mango and 0.5 cup water and microwave for 3 mins.at 100% power.
4.Add sugar and mix thoroughly. Microwave at 80% power for 3-4 mins (till thick)
5.Serve chilled.

Tasty Recipe Chicken Sweet Corn Soup and Tomato Soup



Chicken Sweet Corn Soup:

Ingredients:
• 0.5 cup chopped chicken
• 1 can sweet corn
• 3 cups water
• 1 tbsp corn flour
• 1 tsp butter
• 0.5 cup toned milk
• 1 tbsp soya sauce
• 0.25 tsp garam masala powder
• Salt & black pepper powder(to taste)
• 1 tsp cream

Method

1.Place the butter in a microwave safe bowl and microwave at 100% power for 30 secs.
2.Add chicken pieces ,3 cups of water,salt,garam masala and microwave at 80% power for 3-4 mins.Allow to stand for 5 mins.
3.Seperate the chicken pieces from the stock
4 Add milk ,sweet corn and corn flour(mixed in .5 cup cold water) to the stock. Microwave for 5-6 mins .at 100% power or till the corn is tender.
5.Add the micro waved chicken pieces, soya sauce. Microwave for 1 min.at 100%power.Garnish with spring onions, lightly beaten cream and serve hot.

Tomato Soup:

Ingredients:

• 250 gms .tomatoes(chopped)
• 1 onion(chopped)
• 1 tbsp garlic(chopped)
• 0.5 tsp sugar(optional)
• 2 tbsp fresh cream
• 1 tbsp corn flour
• 2 tsp butter
• 3 cups water
• 0.5 tsp garam masala powder
• Salt and black pepper(to taste)

Method:

1.Place the butter in a microwave safe bowl and microwave at 100% power for 30 secs.
2.Add chopped garlic,onion,tomatoes,salt and 0.5 cup water. Microwave covered for 4-5 mins.at 100% power. Blend in a blender ,strain and make a puree.
3.Add the tomato puree,3 cups water,cornflour(dissolved in 0.5 cup cold water) and sugar in another microwave safe bowl .Microwave at 100% power for 4 mins.Stir in between.
4.Stir into lightly beaten cream
5.Garnish with freshly chopped Coriander.

Safety Precautions while using Microwave.

•Use gloves while removing a hot dish from the oven.
•Do not make attempt to make any adjustments or repairs to the door or panel, safety lock ,switches or any other part of the oven.
•Do not use news paper,brown paper in place of paper napkins for reheating.
•Do not operate the oven when empty.
•Do not defrost/heat tinned food in microwaves.
•Do not try to deep fry in the microwave.
•Do not rinse the turn table by placing it in water for washing just after cooking or it may break.
•Be certain to place the microwave oven at least 8 cms.away from the wall.
•Do not cook eggs in their shell or it may burst.
•Always keep your oven clean.
•Do not cover the ventilation slots
•Remove the plastic wrapping of food before cooking.

Some Key Tips:

1.Popcorns:

Take 1 cup of corn kernels.Add butter and chat masala .Microwave for 3-4 mins.at 100% power in a microwave safe bowl(covered with cling film with a ven on the top)

2.Noodels:

In a microwave safe bowl,boil 1.5 cups of water at 100% power for 3-4 mins .Add 100gms of noodles and taste maker.Microwave for 2 mins.at 100% power.Microwave 50 gms .macroni in 2 cups of water and salt for 5 -6 mins.Drain and wash with plenty of cold water.

3.Pappad:

Place 4 pappads on the turn table on a tissue paper.Sprinkle some water over them. Microwave for 2 mins at 100% power .Reposition and turn over.Brush with oil for the crispy taste.

4.Paneer:

In a microwave safe bowl, boil 2 cups of milk at 100% power for 6-7 mins. Add 5 tsp of curd. Stir and microwave for 2 mins. at 100% power.Wait till paneer seperates.Strain it and set it.

5.Ghee:

Microwave butter in a deep microwave safe bowl for 7-8 mins.at 80% power (covered).Ghee will separate from the solid .When cool,strain it and store in bottles.

6.Garlic bread:

Apply butter and garlic paste on 2 bread slices.Microwave at 100% power for 2 mins .on the turn table on the tissue paper.When cool,it becomes crispy.

7.Bread Crumbs:

Spread 1 cup of small bread pieces on the turn table on the tissue paper.Microwave for 2-3 mins.at 100% power. When cool it becomes crunchy and crispy.

8. Coconut Milk:

Microwave 1 cup of grated coconut in 2 cups of water at 100% power for 5-6 mins.in a microwave safe bowl.Allow to stand for 5 mns .starin it and collect the coconut milk.

9.Instant Soups:

To prepare 1 small packet(30 gms) of soup,mix the contents in 300ml of cold water in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave at 100% power for 3-4 mns .stir and microwave at 60% power for 3-4 mins.till thick.

10. Blanching Almonds:

Add .5 cup of almonds to 1 cup of water. Microwave covered at 100% power for 3-4 mns .in a microwave safe bowl.Allow to stand for 5 mns.
